Crete 2014: Tuhon Ray Dionaldo at 5th FCS Mediterranean Gathering

Ένα ακόμα επιτυχημένο FCS Gathering  με τον Ιδρυτή της τέχνης Tuhon Ray Dionaldo τελείωσε. Το φετινό Gathering έλαβε χώρα στο νησί της Κρήτης για πρώτη φορά εκτός Αθήνας ύστερα από10 και πλέον χρόνια ζωής της τέχνης στην χώρα μας.  Το Πρόγραμμα ακολουθήθηκε  κατά γράμμα και η ενέργεια ήταν πολύ θετική απ’ όλους τους παρευρισκόμενους.

 Παρόλο τις αντίξοες συνθήκες στην Ελλάδα της κρίσης , 23 εγγραφές (από τις 25 περιορισμένες θέσεις) είχε το FCS Intensive Training Camp και συνολικά σε ολόκληρο το event συμμετείχαν 43 άτομα.

Ο Tuhon Ray Dionaldo στο εξειδικευμένο εντατικό καμπ, παρουσίασε την νέα ”Fcs Sumbrada”  σε ραβδί, μαχαίρι και σπαθί με μαχαίρι μαζί(Espada y Daga), δίδαξε Speed drills  σε άοπλη μάχη(Panantukan /Mano-Mano)  αλλά και speed Drills με εφαρμογή γρήγορης ανάπτυξης του όπλου και τραβήγματος(quick Draws). Στο 5^ο Μεσογειακό Γκαδερινγκ , το κεντρικό ανοιχτό σεμινάριο του Tuhon Ray που πραγματοποιήθηκε στα Χανιά, διδάχτηκαν Βασικές και  απλές αρχές των όπλων του Fcs Kali, η μέθοδος Punyo Mano σε εφαρμογή και απομονώσεις τεχνικών αλλά και κομμάτια από την «εξέλιξη» ( evolution ) της τέχνης. Όλοι οι συμμετέχοντες έμειναν ευχαριστημένοι  που προπονήθηκαν με τον Tuhon Ray για άλλη μια φορά ο οποίος βρισκόταν σε εξαιρετική διάθεση και φόρμα. Το Σάββατο το πρωί έγιναν οι καθιερωμένες ετήσιες εξετάσεις από την τεχνική επιτροπή στην Ελλάδα και τον Tuhon Ray.Θα θέλαμε να δώσουμε συγχαρητήρια σε όλους τους εξεταζόμενους για την επιτυχία του στις προαγωγικές εξετάσεις που έλαβαν  χώρα στο κλειστό στάδιο Χανίων. Ιδιαίτερα συγχαρητήρια στο Ιδρυτικό μέλος της Ομάδας μας ,Χριστόφορο Χριστοδούλου για την κατάκτηση του 5^ου Level  αλλά και στους Φωτακάκη Θάνο, Αντρέα Πετρή, Εμμανουηλίδη Μάνο, και Χρήστο Κυρίτση για την κατάκτηση του 4^ου Level  αντίστοιχα.

Την Κυριακή και λόγω εκλογών ο Δήμος Χανίων πήρε πίσω, μόλις  1 ημέρα πριν την αρχή του Intensive Camp , το Γήπεδο που είχε δώσει στην διοργάνωση  με αποτέλεσμα το Σεμινάριο της Κυριακής και το Ευρωπαϊκό Τουρνουά Bladesport να γίνουν έξω στο Άλσος των Αγίων Αποστόλων , σε πιο πολύ φιλικό κλίμα παρά επίσημο όπως συνήθως γίνεται.

Η Ομάδα του Fcs Kali Hellas και οι αντιπρόσωποι τους στην Κρήτη, θα ήθελαν να ευχαριστήσουν τους φίλους-συναδέλφους  που υποστήριξαν και τίμησαν με την παρουσία τους  το FCS Gathering του 2014 καθώς και τον χορηγό επικοινωνίας(Πανελλήνιο Οδηγό Πολεμικών Τεχνών).

 Ειδικότερα θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε τους  Αλέκο Πέτρου και Βασιλάκη Κλειώ απο Ikaef Hellas(Kali-Arnis- Escrima), Ψύχα Ηρακλή-Δημήτρη και Κυρλάκη Κωνσταντίνο από Balintawak Eskrima Χανίων, Σουλτάτο Γιώργο –Shito Ryu Ηρακλείου, Αμάραντο Θεόδωρο και Βλαδίμηρο Μετρεβέλι  από Hung kar Ρεθύμνου και Χανίων αντίστοιχα, Κοντεκάκη Δημήτρη από krav Maga Χανια,  Βαβλέκη Γιώργο από Παγκράτιο -Ju Jitsu Ρεθύμνου  και Βλαντισλάβ Κιρκόφσκι από Judo & Krav maga Ηρακλείου.

Εν κατακλείδι, παρά τις όποιες αντιξοότητες της φετινής διοργάνωσης στην Κρήτη, οι ασκούμενοι έμειναν με τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις και το  ραντεβού ανανεώθηκε για το 2015 στην Αθήνα.

 One more successfully FCS Gathering with the founder of the art, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo took place. This year’s gathering was held in the island of Creete for the first time outside of Athens after 10 years. Regardless of the financial crisis, there were 23 attendances at the FCS intensive training camp(in a total of 25 limited spots) and a total amount of 43 attendants were at the entire event.
The program was followed to the fullest and there was a great positive energy from all the attendants. At the FCS intensive training Camp, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo introduced the “FCS Sumbrada” using single stick, knife and espada y daga, there were also elements of speed and timing drills for empy hands (mano mano/Panantukan) but also quick draws and counters for weapon deployment.  At the 5th Mediterranean Gathering, the main open seminario with Tuhon Ray, which took place in Chania, Basic principles of FCS Kali such as Punyo Mano(applications and isolations) but also parts of the “evolution” of the art. All the participants were way more than satisfied for training under Tuhona Ray Dionaldo who was in tremendous mood for teaching. At Saturday morning there were the testings for Ranks with Tuhon Ray Dionaldo and the technical committee. We would really to congratulate all the participants for their results and especially to Christoforos Christodoulou (one of the Pioneers of FCS Kali Hellas) for being promoted to lv 5, but also to Thanos Fotakakis, Andrea Petris, Panos Emmanouilidis and Christos Kiritsis for being promoted to lv4.. The examinations took place at the national stadium of Chania. At Sunday the municipality of Chania Denied the usage of the national stadium of Chania due to the process of Local elections.

We were informed about it one day before the opening of the intensive training camp. Thus the last day of the gathering and the bladesport tournament were held in the park of St. Apostolon in a more friendly status than a formal. FCS kali Hellas and the training group leaders from Creete would like to thank friend and partners for attending the event. Regardless of all the difficulties of this year’s event in Crete the attendants got the best of experiences and impressions. Ολοκληρώθηκε στις 16 Ιουνίου Στην Αθήνα το 1^st FCS Intensive Training Camp & το 4^th Fcs Mediterranean Gathering.  To 2013 Ήταν μια Ιδιαίτερη Χρονιά για την ομάδα Fcs kali Hellas καθώς γιόρταζε τα 5 χρόνια από την Ίδρυση της και 10 χρόνια συνεχόμενης Παρουσίας του Filipino Combat Systems στην Ελλάδα και στην Ευρώπη. Ο Ιδρυτής της σύγχρονης Πολεμικής Τέχνης Filipino Combat Systems Kali, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo, επισκέφτηκε την χώρα μας από τις 10 έως τις 16 Ιουνίου για 10^η συνεχόμενη φορά, διδάσκοντας 6 συνεχόμενες μέρες εξειδικευμένης εκπαίδευσης και σεμιναρίων.

Από 10 έως 13 Ιουνίου πραγματοποιήθηκε το 1^οFcs Intensive Training Camp, με ρεκόρ συμμετοχών παγκοσμίως,  32 ατόμων, σε  εντατικό πρόγραμμα εξειδικευμένης εκπαίδευσης στο FCS Kali. Ο αρχικός  περιορισμός  της διοργάνωσης ήταν στα 25 άτομα γκρουπ  μάξιμουμ, όπως ισχύει και διεθνώς στα αντίστοιχα Camp της τέχνης ,όμως ενώ οι προεγγραφές ήταν 21, την πρώτη μέρα του τετραημέρου οι εγγραφές στην πόρτα ξεπέρασαν κάθε προσδοκία αναγκάζοντας την διοργάνωση να ανοίξει το γκρουπ πέρα των 25 ατόμων. Οι συμμετέχοντες έμειναν απολύτως ικανοποιημένοι καθώς κάθε μέρα, από 10-13, ήταν αφιερωμένη σε προχωρημένου επιπέδου εντατική εκπαίδευση σε ένα μόνο ξεχωριστό κομμάτι της τέχνης(Δευ- Μαχαίρι, Τρι-Ραβδί, Τετ- Άοπλη μάχη, Πεμ- Υποσυστήματα του FCS).

Από 14 έως 16 Ιουνίου Πραγματοποιήθηκε το 4^ο FCS Mediterranean Gathering, το οποίο όπως κάθε χρόνο, την Παρασκευή περιελάμβανε  το Pre- Gathering, το Σάββατο πρωί έγιναν οι προαγωγικές εξετάσεις των μελών της τέχνης ενώ από Σάββατο μεσημέρι έως  & Κυριακή πρωί πραγματοποιήθηκαν  τα ανοιχτά σεμινάρια του ιδρυτή.

Συνολικά, το Gathering του 2013 ήταν το πιο επιτυχημένο της διοργάνωσης τα τελευταία 4 χρόνια με άκρως ενδιαφέρουσες εισηγήσεις  σε νέο υλικό της τέχνης που άφησαν τους συνολικά 52 συμμετέχοντες απόλυτα ικανοποιημένους .

Στο γιορτινό κλίμα της επετείου των 10 Χρόνων ζωής του FCS Kali στην Ελλάδα, προστέθηκε και η προαγωγή από τον ιδρυτή Tuhon Ray Dionaldo, τριών από τους τέσσερις  πιο υψηλόβαθμους εκπαιδευτές της τέχνης στην Ελλάδα, στον διακριτικό τίτλο-βαθμό  του εκπαιδευτή “Manong”. Έτσι, ύστερα από 10 χρόνια ζωής του Fcs Kali στην Ελλάδα και 5 χρόνια από την Ίδρυση του Fcs Kali Hellas, Ο Δημήτρης  Αγγελής, ο Δημήτρης Κατσιάρας και ο Δημήτρης Μπουδάκης έγιναν οι πρώτοι εκπαιδευτές Manongs στην χώρα μας. Και έπεται συνέχεια…

Τέλος την Κυριακή μεσημέρι έλαβε χώρα το  3^rd European Bladesport  Tournament με 5 διαφορετικές κατηγορίες- Μικρό Μαχαίρι- Μεγάλο Μαχαίρι- Διπλό μαχαίρι-Μονό ραβδί (καταμέτρησης πόντων) –Μονό ραβδί(συνεχόμενης ροής και πλήρους επαφής). Διαιτητές -Κριτές από την ομάδα του Fcs Kali ήταν  οι Manongs  Δ. Αγγελής, Δ. Μπουδάκης & Δ. Κατσιάρας καθώς και ή Έφη Κοκκίνου ενώ κεντρικός διαιτητής στους τελικούς όλων των κατηγοριών ήταν ο Ιδρυτής Tuhon Ray Dionaldo. Επίσης στην κατηγορία μονού ραβδιού-πλήρους επαφής, κεντρικός διαιτητής μέχρι τους τελικούς ήταν ο Guro Αλέξανδρος Πέτρου (από την IKAEF Hellas) και  τον ευχαριστούμε για αυτό καθώς με την πολύτιμη βοήθεια  και εμπειρία του  διοργανώθηκε, για δεύτερη φορά φέτος, η νέα κατηγορία του Τουρνουά -Μονού ραβδιού –πλήρους επαφής.

 Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε όλα τα μέλη, φίλους, συναδέλφους μας για την στήριξη και βοήθεια τους στην επιτυχή διεξαγωγή του συνολικού Gathering και ιδιαίτερα όλους τους Φίλους-Συναδέλφους εκτός  ομάδας που για άλλη μια φορά φέτος τίμησαν με την παρουσία τους την ομάδα μας και έναν από τους μεγαλύτερους δασκάλους Φιλιππινέζικων Πολεμικών τεχνών που επισκέπτονται κάθε χρόνο την χώρα μας. Πιο συγκεκριμένα θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστούμε τους:  Αλέξανδρο Πέτρου(IKAEF Hellas),Άγγελο  Μπαστάκη(Sayoc Hellas), Χρήστο Μπαλάφα (Pangamut),Καμόντο  Λευτέρη (Hung Kar),Γιάννη Λαιμοδαίτη(DAS Streetfighting) και  Σταύρο Τζιγιάννη  (MSF Survival System).

Τέλος, θα θέλαμε να καλωσορίσουμε τρεις νέους εκπαιδευτές στην ομάδα μας, τους  Χάρη και Αντώνη Μήτρου (Bujinkan Greece Dojo)  και τον Άρη Μπατιστάτο ο οποίος και ξεκίνησε νέα εστία εκπαίδευσης στο νησί της Κεφαλλονιάς(Α.Σ. Μαχητές Κεφαλλονιάς- Fcs Kefalonias). Τους ευχόμαστε καλή αρχή και συνέχεια.

At June 16th the 1st FCS Intensive Training Camp and the 4th FCS Mediterranean Gathering Completed. 2013 Was a very special year for the team of FCS Kali Hellas. We Celebrated 5 years of our foundation and we celebrated 10 years of continuous development of FCS Kali in Greece and Europe. The founder and creator of the modern fighting art of FCS Kali, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo visited our country from June 10th to June 16th, teaching for 7 days in a row including seminars and specified training.
From June 10th till June 13th the 1st Intensive Training Camp of FCS Kali took place, with a record of 32 attendants. In the intensive training camp the initial number of places were maximum 25, as everywhere in the world applies for such camps of FCS Kali. 21 attendants have preregistered, though at the first day of the camp the registrations at the door surpassed every expectation. The attendants were satisfied to the fullest potential by the level of training since every day covered a different part of the art (mon- bladework, tue- stick, wed- mano mano, thur- FCS Kali Subsystems).
From June 14th to June 16th the 4th FCS Mediterranean Gathering took place. As every year at Friday we had the pregathering, at Saturday morning we had the examinations for rank/level promotion and from Saturday Noon till Sunday morning the annual open seminar took place under the instructions of Tuhon Ray Dionaldo.
In a sum up, 2013’s Gathering was the most successful of the last for years with very interesting material in the new “curriculum” and aspects of the art which left the 52 total attendants really satisfied.

Also, 3 of the 4 higher ranked practitioners (training group leaders) were promoted to the title/rank of “Manong”(instructor) by Tuhon Ray Dionaldo. So after of 10 years of FCS Kali in Greece and 5 years after the foundation of FCS Kali Hellas, Dimitris Angelis, Dimitris Katsiaras, Dimitris Boudakis became the first “Manongs”(instructors) in our country. And the best is yet to come….
For an enclosure, at Sunday noon the 3rd European Bladesport Tournament took place. There were 5 different divisions (short blade, long blade, double blade, single stick (point system),single stick (full contact). Referees and judges were the members of FCS Kali Hellas the Manongs D. Angelis, D. Boudakis and D. Katsiaras and Efy Kokkinou As Well. The central referee for the final matches was Tuhon Ray Dionaldo. Also for the full contact single stick, central referee for every match was Guro Alexandros Petrou (IKAEF Hellas) and we thank him way more than much for his contribution on this event because with his invaluable support and experience, for the second time in a year, a tournament with the new division of full contact single stick became true.

We would really like to thank all the members, our friends, fellow practitioners for their support and contribution for carrying out a successful gathering, especially our friends and fellow martial artists who are not part of FCS Kali Hellas, who honored us with their appearance our efforts and also honored one of the greatest Filipino Martial Arts Instructors who visits every year our country, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo. In particular we would like to thank Guro Alexandros Petrou(IKAEF Hellas), Angelos Bastakis (Sayoc Hellas), Christos Balafas (Pangamut) , Lefteri Kamondo( Hung Kar), Yannis Lemodetis( DAS Streetfighting) and Stavros Tzigiannis (MSF Survival System). 

Finally, we would like to welcome our 3 new instructors in our team. Harris and Antonis Mitrou (Bujinkan Greece Dojo) and Aris Batistatos( A.C Machites Kefallonias, FCS Kefallonias) which started a training group as a regional representative, for the first time, in the island of Kefallonias . We wish them the best.
To all the members of the tribe, practitioners and friends we set up our next meeting for the summer of 2014 for the first time outside of Athens, at the island of Crete.

Fcs Intensive Training Camp 2013

Dear Friends, Colleagues & Fcs Brothers

The Year 2013 is a special year for Fcs Kali Hellas Team. Fcs Kali is celebrating 10 years of constant presence in Hellas and Europe and our team is celebrating 5 years of existence under the guidance of Tuhon Ray. 

We would like to invite you to the annual FCS Mediterranean gathering that is going to take place in Athens (at the 14-16 June). 

Prior to the gathering there is going to be an Intensive training camp under the guidance of Tuhon Ray Dionaldo. The camp will be held at 2 clubs of Fcs Kali Hellas members 1)Dimitris Katsiaras-Peristeri(www.zfc.gr) 2) Christoforos Christodoulou- Ag.I. Redis
It is going to be 4 days of training (june 10-13). Each day of training will cover one different aspect of the art including bladework, stickwork, mano- mano and subsystem/s. We would also like to let you know that there are limited spots for this event. The suggested hotels for the camp are 1) Best Western Museum Hotel(http://www.bestwestern.gr)2) Polis Grand Hotel(http://www.polisgrandhotel.gr/).

 The 4^th  FCS Mediterranean Gathering (14-16 of June)  will be held in the facilities of the Hotel Leonanti (http://www.hotelleonanti.gr ) near in Athens at Marathon. Leonanti is at the beach of Schinias about 1 hour from Athens. After the Pre-gathering(Friday 14) there is a dinner arranged for Tuhon Ray and all the present instructors.  Also at Saturday morning (June 15)  will be the examinations for promotions to any level or rank of the art.

At Sunday June 16(14:00) the 3^rd European Bladesport annual competition will take place with Tuhon Ray as main Referee.

We celebrate 10 years of FCS KALI in Greece, 5 years of Fcs Kali Hellas and we are willing to make this one a special event.

2013 Hellenic Bladesport Tournament

The 3^rd Hellenic Bladesport Tournament, the fighting part of martial art FCS Kali, was conducted successfully  at the 9^th of March 2013. The Championship took place at Peristeri of Athens, in the Olympic Stadium of Boxing, as part of the 10^th Free Style Open Championship . The event was organized by Dimitris Katsiaras(Founding member of Fcs Kali Hellas) for 10 years in the row.

The exclusive responsibility of the tournament belongs to Fcs Kali Hellas the only official Union recognized by the FCS Kali founder Tuhon Ray Dionaldo.

2013 Bladesport Tournament’s  4 different divisions were :1) Long Blade 2)Short Blade 3) Single Stick-point fighting 4)single Stick-continuous fighting.

Apart from Fcs kali Hellas, 5 other clubs participated in the tournament : IKAEF-SAYOC KALI HELLAS-PROGRESSIVE MARTIAL ARTS GREECE-FIGHT ACADEMY and FIGHT FACTORY. We would like to thank all the above clubs for their support.

Referees of the Tournament were: Boudakis Dimitris, Angelis Dimitris and  Kokkinou Efy (by Fcs Kali Hellas), Petrou Alexandros(by IKAEF), Bastakis Angelos(by Sayoc Kali Hellas)

We would like to thank the First teacher of Filipino Martial arts in Greece and representative of IKAEF, Petrou Alexandros, for his personal assistance as the main referee of the Single Stick(continuous fighting) division.

Also, special thanks to Sayoc Kali Hellas representative Bastakis Angelos, for his personal assistance as main and corner referee of the Short Blade, Long Blade & Single Stick(point fighting) divisions.

The following  Bladesport competition (3^rd European Bladesport Tournament) will be conducted 16 of June at the end of the “FCS intensive training Camp & Mediterranean Gathering” under the guidance of Tuhon Ray Dionaldo who is going to be the main referee of the competition.

FCS KALI Mediterranean Gathering Highlights:

3rd Fcs Mediterranean Gathering

After the 1^st  & 2^nd Mediterranean Gathering, organized by FCS Kali Hellas Union and introduced by the world famous master,  Tuhon  Ray Dionaldo, we would like to invite you to this year’s 3^rd  Mediterranean Gathering of the Modern Martial Art FCS Kali.

For the 9^th year in a row in our country, Tuhon Ray will teach the Art of ‘’Blade & Stick’’, FCS Kali.

This year our Union FCS Kali Hellas, as last year, is mounting along with the 3^rd  Mediterranean Gathering, the 2^nd   European Kali Tournament (‘’Blade & Stick’’), under Bladesport  terms. The Bladesport Team is the fighting brunch of FCS Kali, which so far appears only in the Central and Latin America. The combats are absolutely secure, with use of protective equipment and under modern rules which advance both the spectacle and the high technical skills.

In the 2^nd  Bladesport Tournament in Europe, the participants can be all students and instructors of Filipino Martial Arts, regardless their level or experience. Participants can also be all students and instructors of any Martial Art which include in the curriculum the teaching of blade and stick. The categories are: -Short Blade-Long Blade-Double Blades-Single Stick-Full Contact Single Stick

Seminar Fees: 
• 70 Euro for 3 seminar Days (Friday-Sunday) of 3rd Mediterranean Gathering  
(60 EURO for single day-Saturday participation- and 40 EURO for single day Sunday  participation )
• 20 EURO For Participating in 2 Bladesport division 
• +10 EURO for a third division, +5 EURO for any additional division 
• ALTERNATIVELY 40 EURO FOR ALL 5 DIVISIONS (The divisions are: Short Blade, Long Blade, Double Blades, Single Stick &  Full Contact Single Stick)
